Prestigious Club Contest: a memorable night!
Dear all super contest volunteers and participants, tonight was amazing!! wasn´t it? Thank you all for stepping up,
engaging and participating in making tonight a wonderful experience! A special thanks to our SAAs- Daniel, Nizami (and Phil!) who made the
set up comfortable and handled all the intricacies of Casa Orlandi
with ease...
To Anne- for the great snacks- food and refreshments which were
absolutely necessary and which you managed so professionally!
To Ricardo- who could ask for a better, funnier, target speaker speech??
To Dale- for your awesome interview, succinct, entertainment sessions
To our Judges, which anonymously behind the scenes were working away
while we were enjoying the speeches!
Special thanks to our Chief Judge, who coordinated the efforts of our
judges and organized that whole part of things!
To our counters who diligently and efficiently tallied to votes
and to our timers- wow, that is a really tough job in a contest- who
kept us on schedule and tracked it all!
To the competitors, who showed bravery and true toastmaster spirit!
To our visiting presidents and toastmasters, who share their time,
efforts, encouragement and energy with us,
and finally to our President, Tulia, who keeps us focused to achieve
bigger and greater things in Prestigious! Let's continue to shine! Carol-Ann has valiantly stepped up as chair
for the area contest! Please lend her a hand- you know your how to do

Toastmasters Division H Spring Conference in Madrid
The Toastmasters Clubs of Madrid are pleased to welcome you to our
second Toastmasters Iberian Division Conference in Madrid! Date and Venue: 7th May 2011 from 10 am till 5 pm in the prestigious
setting of the Melia Galgos in Claudio Coello 139, right in the heart
of the Madrid Golden Mile and a few minutes from the Sorolla museum. The Conference will be followed by a Gala Dinner at the New Janagah
Egö, a very special Italian-Argentinean fusion restaurant in the heart
of the Chamberi District, with a unique decor by designer Carla
Hernandez. Not just a 4-course delicious dinner in a beautiful
setting, but also a grand party with a DJ, dancing, free wine and
beer! This event is open to all the Toastmasters from Iberian Peninsula and guests. Aside from the great and stimulating atmosphere at the Conference on
Saturday with educational session, international contest and our guest
speakers who are two highfliers living and working in Madrid, we have
prepared a Friday session (4pm - 7pm) for those who come early - "The
7 Minute Star" by Florian Mueck who impressed us all at the
Toastmasters Conference in Barcelona last year. And for those who stay
over the weekend we offer a very pleasant tour of Madrid on Sunday,
including sightseeing, tapas tour, and visits to Art Museums. Our conference aims to bring together expert toastmasters from Iberian
Peninsula who will deliver their best speeches. Please join us for a
friendly international contest and to learn more about successful
speech techniques. This is a kind of event not to be missed, in some
of the best venues of one of the largest and most beautiful European

Happy 6th Birthday Prestigious!
6 years ago, a group of pioneer speakers and leaders founded the first English-speaking Toastmasters Club in Barcelona: Prestigious Speakers. Today, we are almost 50 members that gather every 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday of the month to have a lot of fun improving our public speaking and leadership skills.
